Cheap decks fail at the joists and footings — the parts you can't see. We engineer the substructure for our climate (humidity, ground freeze cycles, drainage), use proper hardware, and set footings deep. The deck you see on day one is built on bones that last decades.
Pressure-treated pine is the workhorse. Cedar costs more but resists rot naturally. Composite (Trex-style) is most expensive up front but never needs staining. We'll walk through tradeoffs on your free quote.
Do I need a permit?
Most municipalities in the CSRA require a permit for decks over a certain height or square footage. We handle the permit process for you.
How long does a deck install take?
A typical residential deck takes 1–2 weeks depending on size, complexity, and weather. Multi-level builds and built-ins extend that timeline.
Can you build a deck attached to my house?
Yes — and properly attaching a deck to the home is critical. We use proper ledger boards, flashing, and structural connections so the deck never pulls away from the house.
